Falkirk Distillery is proud to announce the release of our latest creation: a remarkable Single Malt Whisky, meticulously crafted to honour the heritage of the Lowlands and bring a unique expression of Scotland’s finest whisky craftsmanship. This new release marks a pivotal moment in our journey as we continue to build a legacy of excellence, rooted in the rich history and traditions of Falkirk.

A Whisky with a Story

Our third release of Falkirk Single Malt Whisky is not just a whisky—it’s a tribute to the past, a celebration of the present, and a vision for the future. Situated in the heart of the Lowlands, Falkirk Distillery is now associated with producing some of Scotland’s finest single malt Scotch whiskies. This release reaffirms our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and innovation.

In collaboration with our master blender, Norman Mathison, we’ve crafted a whisky with depth and balance. Each cask has been carefully selected to deliver complexity while maintaining a smooth, approachable profile that speaks to both connoisseurs and newcomers alike. Our distillery’s history, combined with our modern techniques, ensures this whisky is a true reflection of our passion and dedication.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Rich, aromatic notes of dried fruit, honey, and subtle hints of vanilla.

• Palate: A smooth, balanced profile with layers of oak, a touch of spice, and a delicate sweetness.

• Finish: A lingering, warm finish with a hint of dried fruit and a whisper of bourbon sweetness.

The Craft Behind the Whisky

This Single Malt is a product of passion and precision, combining the finest Scottish Lowland barley, pure artesian spring water, and traditional methods of production. Our artesian spring well, sourced from deep beneath the distillery, provides the purest water, enhancing the whisky’s smooth character and helping to shape its distinct flavour profile.

A significant part of our heritage is the use of ex-Caperdonich stills and mash tun, which have been integral to crafting exceptional spirits for generations. These historic tools, now part of Falkirk Distillery, lend a unique and unparalleled character to our whisky, ensuring every drop is infused with the spirit of tradition and innovation.

The whisky has been aged in a combination of Oloroso sherry hogshead and First Fill Heaven Hill American Bourbon casks, allowing the rich, fruity notes of the sherry to harmonise with the smooth, refined character imparted by the bourbon wood.

Introducing Falkirk Distillery’s New Kelpies Sherry Release Single Malt Whisky

Falkirk Whisky Distillery is located in the heart of the Scottish Lowlands.

To celebrate our five years of production, the distillery has released two remarkable cask strength whiskies, each as unique as the story of Falkirk Distillery.

Both cask strength single malts are distilled using spring water drawn from an artesian spring on the site of the iconic Falkirk Distillery. This, together with our historic Speyside copper stills and mash tun, produces an unrivalled lowland spirit.

The distillery’s traditional dunnage warehousing allows the spirit to mature whilst it absorbs the individual characteristics of our sherry and bourbon casks. Each cask has a distinct character and deserves to be savoured in its purest form.

Our Kelpies releases take their inspiration from the iconic The Kelpies, located just a short distance from the distillery. These striking 30-metre-high horse head sculptures celebrate the strength, spirit and heritage of Scotland’s working horses, deeply rooted in the history of the Forth & Clyde Canal. Their close proximity to the distillery, and the sense of scale and presence they bring to the landscape made them a natural inspiration for these expressions. Much like the sculptures themselves, our Kelpies whiskies are bold, characterful and designed to leave a lasting impression, with each cask reflecting both the power and elegance associated with these remarkable structures.
